Administrative InformationAdministrative/biographical history Please follow the link from the creator name (above).Archival history/source of acquisition These letters were donated to the archives by Mrs Thelma Lebeaux in 1995 (Accession 1995-012). They were originally added to the archives' correspondence collection (ref. CGA/F30A) but recatalogued as a separate collection in 2006. Envelopes belonging to this series of correspondence were received from Mrs Lebeaux in 1998 (Accession 1998-001). It is not clear when the photocopied press cuttings were donated; these have been recopied onto archival quality paper.Content and structureScope and ContentPersonal letters written by the psychoanalyst Edward Glover to Thelma Lebeaux (née Hakkarainen), later the wife of the American psychiatrist Lincoln Lebeaux MD. The letters cover a seven-year period, although some appear to be missing and some items are incomplete. In the letters, Glover discusses professional, personal and domestic matters; he also briefly describes his relationship with his brother, the psychoanalyst James Glover (letter dated 11 Mar 1966). In addition, there are two press cuttings provided by the depositor, one a review by Edward Glover of Jung's Memories, Dreams, Reflections and the other an obituary of Lincoln Lebeaux.
