Archival history/source of acquisition

These letters were given by Lucie Winnik, widow of Heinrich Winnik, to Dr Eva Laible,who donated them to the archives in 1992 (Accession 1992-013). The letters were originally separated and added to the archives' correspondence collection (refs. CDA/F14A, CFD/F31, CMA/F17 & CWA/F28) but were recatalogued as a single collection in 2006.

Letters received by Heinrich Winnik from professional colleagues, as follows: W v Baeyer, Germany (one item); Cl. de Boor, Germany (three items); J Cremerius, Germany (two items); Helene Deutsch, USA (one item, enclosing biographical information about Felix Deutsch); Otto Fenichel, USA (three items, re-establishing contact after the Second World War); Hanna Fenichel, USA (one item, regarding her late husband's publications); Eugène Minkowski, France (one item); Alexander Mitscherlich, Germany (one item); R de Saussure (one item, a card expressing good wishes).

Open for consultation by bona fide researchers, subject to prior arrangement with the archivist and the signing of a reader's undertaking form. Please note that any material from the Bulletin of the British Psychoanalytical Society is available only to members, students and guests of the Society.
