Administrative InformationAdministrative/biographical history Please follow the link from the creator name (above).Archival history/source of acquisition The majority of this collection appears to have been received from a single unknown source, except for the research material in series P21-G, which was donated by Michael Parsons in 1994 (Accession 1994-013) and the photographs in series P21-F-04, which were donated by James Hood in 1995 (Accession 1995-0).The paper sent to Sylvia Payne by D C Wallbridge (ref. P21-B-11) was previously added to the archives' manuscript collection, but appears to have been removed from these papers. It was returned to this collection during recataloguing in 2006. Content and structureScope and ContentThe majority of this collection is material related to the writings and lectures of Sylvia Payne, including papers on various psychoanalytic themes, book reviews, responses to colleagues' papers and lecture scripts. Also included are papers written by various psychoanalytic colleagues, as well as a small quantity of material related to her work for the British Psychoanalytical Society. There are also a few items of of personal material and memorabilia, plus some papers produced during biographical research on Payne's life and work.
