Administrative InformationAdministrative/biographical history Please follow the link from the creator name (above).Archival history/source of acquisition Deposited by Ruth Brook Klauber, wife of John Klauber. The majority of the material was donated in 2002 (Accession 2002-001); the photographs in P24-D-03 were originally added to the Society's photograph collection but were returned to this collection during recataloguing in 2007. The material in P24-D was donated in 2007 (Accession 2007-004). The material in P24-C-05 was dontated in 2007 (Accession 2007-004) and 2010 (Accession 2010-003).Content and structureScope and ContentThe bulk of this collection is material related to Klauber's literary output and lectures, including books, papers and teaching material on various psychoanalytic themes, as well as comments on the works of colleagues. Also included are: patient case notes from Klauber's work as a psychotherapist at the Middlesex Hospital; papers relating to various professional bodies and Klauber’s career; and a small amount of personal and posthumous material. Accruals Some material has been retained by the Klauber family but may be transferred to the archives in the future. In the meantime, these items may be available to researchers on request; a list is included in the accessions file (2002-001) held by the archivist.System of arrangement The material is arranged into five series, as follows, with some further division into sub-series:
Conditions of access and useAccess conditions Open for consultation by bona fide researchers, subject to prior arrangement with the archivist and the signing of a reader's undertaking form, with the exception of the patient case notes in P24-B which is closed.Please note that material taken from the Bulletin of the British Psychoanalytical Society is available only to members, students and guests of the Society. Some items within the collection are closed. Reproduction conditions Photocopying is carried out at the discretion of the archivist and according to the archives’ photocopying policy, which is available on request. Copies of material still in copyright can be supplied for research use only. Written permission must be obtained from the archivist to publish or reproduce any material held in the archives.
