The Archives of the British Psychoanalytical Society has recently completed a long-term cataloguing and repackaging project, funded by a grant awarded by the Wellcome Trust.

We are pleased to announce that our catalogues can now be browsed online.  Full details of our collections are available below.

These include minute books and administrative records of the BPAS and the Institute of Psychoanalysis and other material, including records related to:

• The BMA Committee on psychoanalysis
• The emigration of European analysts prior to and during the Second World War and the activities of members during the war
• The Controversial Discussions
• The publication of psychoanalytic works, including The Standard Edition of the Complete Works of Sigmund Freud
• Contributions to official investigations/enquiries on aspects of mental health

Ernest Jones Rehabilitation Fund (P33)

Records of a fund established to assist psychoanalysts leaving Austria after the Nazi invasion of 1938 and which later provided support to colleagues in communist regimes, including sending relief parcels to analysts in Hungary.
