ABOUT MEMORY, INTERPRETATION AND OBJECT RELATION IN TODAY’S PSYCHOANALYSIS -
Cesar Botella
LECTURE 1Time:
Drinks from 6.30pm
Lecture to start at 7pm
Dates: Friday 28th October 2011 (postponed from Friday 15th April)
The guiding principle of this lecture will be the work of figurability. I will try to present some clinical sessions which will show the limitations of the notions of memory, interpretation and object relation, and the necessity, especially for borderline patients, to open up new ways of viewing psychoanalytic practice.
CESAR BOTELLA is a medical doctor and a training psychoanalyst with the Paris Psychoanalytical Society (PPS). He is PPS’s former Secretary General and former President of PPS’s Children and Adolescents Psychoanalysis Commission. An internationally known psychoanalytic writer, he is the author of The Work of Psychic Figurability and of many papers.
