CLINICAL MASTERCLASS - Betty Joseph

CLINICAL SEMINAR

No. of sessions: 5
Time: 8.15pm – 9.45pm
Day: Tuesday
Dates: March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

In this clinical seminar members will be asked to present clinical material to discuss how we learn about our patients, putting special emphasis on learning from the way in which the patient uses the session and the analyst and the implications of this in relation to his outside life and his history.

BETTY JOSEPH has worked with both adults and children. She is a training analyst of the British Psychoanalytical Society and has run seminars and given lectures in the UK and many parts of Europe, America and other countries. She was awarded the Mary Sigourney award in 1995. Her main psychoanalytic interest has always been in the clinical and technical aspects of the work. She edited a collection of the papers of Michael Feldman entitled Doubt, Conviction and the Analytic Process in 2008. A collection of her own papers was published in 1989 under the title Psychic Equilibrium and Psychic Change.
