Vicki Lebeau lectures in English at the University of Sussex.

She is author of Lost Angels: Psychoanalysis and Cinema (Routledge 1995) and Psychoanalysis and Cinema: the Play of Shadows (Wallflower Press 2001). Her most recent publications on psychoanalysis and culture include 'Psychopolitics: Frantz Fanon's Black Skin, White Masks' (in Psycho‑politics and Cultural Desires, Campbell and Habord (eds.) Taylor and Francis 1998), 'The Child in Question', in Angelaki (April 2000) and 'Another Child of Violence', in New Formations: The Ruins of Childhood (Winter 2001).
