Michael Parsons is a psychoanalyst. He is a training analyst of the British Psychoanalytical Society and a member of the IPA.

Before studying medicine and psychiatry, and then training in psychoanalysis, his original studies were in classics and philosophy.

He is the author of The Dove that Returns, The Dove that Vanishes: Paradox and Creativity in Psychoanalysis (Routledge).
